My name is Thomas Bowes and I graduated from Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) with an Associates Degree in nursing. I spent the first 5 years of my practice working 12 hour overnights on the Oncology Unit at Abington Memorial Hospital (AMH) and days as a home infusion specialist. At the five year mark I switched exclusively to my passion….home infusion!

A large portion of my time as a home infusion RN is spent teaching. Teaching every day people to perform not so every day tasks. These tasks are rather simple for me to carry out because I possess the training and the experience to know that the knowledge I am imparting on my patients is correct. I truly believe that my patients are able to deliver their dose in the safest, cleanest and most effective way possible. In short…I act as if I am the patient and ask myself “what would I do if I was the patient?”

I have been asked by more people than I can count if what I have taught them is on line. It isn’t….until now! everyone was asking for it….so….here it is. Enjoy and hopefully we all learn together!
